4th December 2016:

It's Christmas or soon will be or will have been depending on when you read this and Easter eggs will soon be in the shops no matter when you read this.

This year's seasonal events consist of the exact same seasonal events as most years, food, drink, TV, a bit of reading every now and then, feed the cat, fuss the cat, teach him to make new cocktails, pretty much the usual Christmassy routine.

Christmas is just fun to me, it breaks up an otherwise gloomy time of year when it's dark and 'orrible. All good fun.

This page features pics taken last Christmas as well as Christmas card designs and covers from a few random Christmas-themed American comic books, it's just a bit of colourful fun.

I've recently re-started video editing (using more recent versions of the programs I once used), editing short holiday videos with five up already (links below).

The rest of the plan is to cobble videos together for:

Cala Bona (20 minute video)

Cala Millor (15 minute video or may be combined with Cala Bona)

4th December 2016

Bar Playa, Costa De Los Pinos

The fifth of a few holiday videos to come, this is a very short one of the excellent Bar Playa, Costa De Los Pinos, Majorca / Mallorca. Great food, great drinks, great staff, great entertainment. There's a very nice beach nearby and the scenery is wonderful. Filmed / edited / posted in HD widescreen.

Length: 1 min 48 seconds

27th November 2016:

I've recently started re-training on video editing (using more recent versions of the programs I once used) and it's going to be for fun, hurrah! No business ideas, no acting (yeesh), no shows (done enough to last a lifetime), no weddings (fun though they are, just think I've done enough), just the stuff I currently feel like doing and with no pressure on me from myself to do it.

This will consist mostly of short holiday videos I suspect and today the third of those goes up, link below, titled Boat Ride to Porto Cristo. Previously posted are Palma, Son Servera and American Icons My My, a tiny edit for a song performed at Hotel Cala Bona in October 2016 (links to those also to be found below).

The rest of the plan is to cobble videos together for:

Costa Des Pins (2 mins probably)

Cala Bona (20 minute video)

Cala Millor (15 minute video or may be combined with Cala Bona)

I've been through all the footage from 2008 onwards of those places to see if there's any that can be used with this year's footage: sadly a lot of the earlier stuff isn't good enough quality for what I'm intending but I've found one bit I was particularly looking for and a few others that I'd forgotten about and which will also be useful.

I'm not sure when the other videos will be ready, but almost as soon as they are I'll bung 'em up with links here and probably Twitter. Watch, don't watch, no pressure, I'm doing them anyway :) The Cala Bona one probably won't be ready until April but never mind. It's just a bit of fun.

Can't be naffed to put any of these onto DVD, YouTube's easier :) It'll give me something to do over Winter besides drinking and I'm looking forward to it.

A list of the filming stuff I've been involved with over the years can be found here.

27th November 2016

Boat Ride To Porto Cristo

The fourth of a few holiday videos to come, this is a short one of a boat ride to Porto Cristo, Majorca / Mallorca. I'd been out late the night before and the day this was filmed was very hot so I didn't find this an easy ride! Filmed / edited / posted in HD widescreen.

Length: 3 mins 41 seconds

6th November 2016:

Back from having a holiday, looking way way forward to having another holiday, way way into next year. Way.

This will consist mostly of short holiday videos I suspect and today the second of those goes up, link below, titled Palma. Two weeks ago I posted Son Servera and a week before that I started small with a tiny edit for a song performed at Hotel Cala Bona in October 2016 (links to those also to be found below).

The rest of the plan is to cobble videos together for:

The Ride to Porto Cristo (2 mins at the most)

Cala Bona (20 minute video)

Cala Millor (15 minute video or may be combined with Cala Bona)

I'm fine, the cat's fine (albeit he's 17 & thinner) and the TV remote is just about finding enough to enjoy on the telly box too.

6th November 2016

Palma

The third of a few holiday videos to come, this is a short one of Palma, Majorca, centred mostly in and around the Cathedral there. Filmed / edited / posted in HD widescreen.

Length: 5 mins 50 seconds

The second of a few holiday videos to come, this is a short one of a lovely Majorcan town called Son Servera. Filmed / edited / posted in HD widescreen.

16th October 2016

My first editing since 2010, this is a tiny edit of a song performed at Hotel Cala Bona on 4th October 2016. The song is "American Icons My My", performed by Duo Maritim. Written by Bob Richardson who also has a version of this performance on his own YouTube channel. This is a low-ish resolution version converted from a HD version. I aim to get the HD version up, one day!

Length: 4 mins 3 seconds

28th August 2016:

I'm looking forward to having a holiday, looking way way forward to having a holiday, hasn't 2016 just been a bundle of laughs? Ha ha, yes.

I posted a page of stylised piccies last Sunday which I've slightly expanded today, it's a small archive of stuff I've been posting to social media this year and is the kind of thing that's been entertaining me this year. Click here or not, up to you, no pressure. Below I've also posted some of the photos I've taken in the last two months.

My teeth are settling in fine having had them since May, they will be going on holiday with me and they too are looking forward to this.

I'm fine, the cat's fine and the TV remote is just about finding enough to enjoy on the telly box too.

Might start looking at video editing programs again, haven't done that for years and it looks to have all changed dramatically since I last did any of that stuff. The stuff people can do these days is amazing.

Not a lot else to say, there's a beer waiting and it's getting impatient.

4th June 2016:

Recently got a new denture, now I can smile again properly. Hurrah.

Eventually there might even be the odd picture or two of myself with these new plastic things.

In other news my website has had major issues since 19th May and a lot of the links on this site didn't work until I fixed them. Hopefully the great and vast majority are now sorted but I'd be surprised if I haven't missed a few out along the way. There's an explanation of sorts below as to the jibber jabber surrounding the website.

I've also introduced The Tim Harris Portal as of 10th June, this is a page on a separate website which will give the up-to-date links to this site if things go wrong again.

I'm spending some time updating the website for noted academic Andrew O'Day and this will appear in June, in return he will no doubt supply the odd bottle of restorative, either wine or Champagne, but hey it goes with the territory.

Summer's here in spite of Winter's efforts to keep a grip and at least the hours of daylight have increased. I for one will be enjoying all that these light hours give, well, when I'm not on social media anyway. Boy there's a lot of social media sites these days en't there? Which is why I've added my Twitter feed into this website :)

30th May 2016:

My website has had major issues since 19th May and a lot of the links on this site didn't work until I fixed them. Hopefully the great and vast majority are now sorted but I'd be surprised if I haven't missed a few out along the way. I've literally altered thousands of links in a short space of time. A fun way to spend a Bank Holiday weekend!!!

There seems to be a problem with the previous domain which is being held in limbo at the moment, hence the move to this new web address. The previous domain registered to me but can't access it, and the people responsible for my domain are not in a rush to fix things, so a long term solution had to be found. I'm caught in the position that I can't access my own domain and neither can I totally break links with it. Infuriating. Only once Google forgets my original domain exists will this new one will work its way into their search results.

This of course has happened at the same time as a very busy period of time at work and has been a right royal pain. Still, worse things happen in life and this is just a tiny irritation in the scheme of things.

If you spot any failed / broken links please let me know.

27th March 2016:

Been an eventful year so far, have had 9 teeth out with no sign of the Tooth Fairy and await a shiny new plastic denture amongst other things. Have got a new phone and Samsung really rock don't they, never going back to Sony now, way too frustrating. Had to get a new (cheap) laptop because my XP machine was getting less and less supported. Sad that we have to dispose of machines that, but for software, are still functioning. Seems amoral to me and I'd resisted it for two years.

I've not been paying much attention to this website for some time but I have been updating Andrew O'Day and Guests (the link is somewhere below) and this does get quite a bit of attention. The Doctor Who pages also tend to get people contacting me usually with requests for help with research or asking for help in tracking Doctor Who-related items and this has been quite interesting.

Have still not got interest in editing any future films, it's been 6 years now since the last but when I do it's going to be something different from what I've done before. Either pretentiously arty or witty. It'll never happen :)

2nd January 2016:

Welcome to 2016, come on in and make yourself comfortable.
